Cola®Quat LBAC 50 (ME)

Cola®Quat LBAC 50 (ME) Lauryldimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride (LBAC) is a type of cationic surfactant, a quaternary ammonium salt. It has the primary application as a corrosion inhibitor in Oil and Gas applications. It works by preventing the formation of sulfurous gases. LBAC has also been successful at de-emulsifying and sludge breaking in enhanced oil recovery.

On HI&I applications, LBAC is applied as hard surface detergents.

LBAC’s low toxicity, solubility in water, and uniquely effectiveness in the present of hard water has opened the doors to many applications in petroleum, chemical, textile, water treatment, and even as an antistatic agent.
