Polymerized Polyol Ester Based Boundary Lubricity Additive
Cola®Lube 3430 is a complex polyester based on the vegetable-sourced fatty acids and polycarboxylic acids and polyhydroxy alcohols. As a polar polymer, Cola®Lube 3430 carries residual acidity which needs to be neutralized for use. Cola®Lube 3430 is hydrolytically stable under alkaline conditions (up to pH 9.5) in the water-miscible metalworking fluids. The multiple functional groups of the polymer enable its high affinity to multiple metal surfaces.
Cola®Lube 3430 is a boundary lubricant. It performs well in water-based semi-synthetics and soluble oils and has good lubricity and anti-wear properties.
Cola®Lube 3430 is easy to emulsify. Due to its polymeric nature, Cola®Lube 3430 can help stabilize the emulsion by developing a protective colloid. Cola®Lube 3430 is non-staining to ferrous and non-ferrous metals and provides effective corrosion protection for ferrous metal surfaces.
Cola®Lube 3430 has been widely used in water-dilutable cutting and forming fluids as well as rolling emulsions.
Cola®Lube 3430 is based on the bio-renewable fatty acids and has a much-improved environmental profile. It is readily biodegradable and casts minimal to no negative impact to the environment.
