We believe palm products (any product or ingredient that is derived from oil palms, including palm oil, palm kernels, palm kernel oil, palm kernel expeller and their fractions and derivatives) should be produced through sustainable plantations that are engaged in the active conservation of rainforests and/or peatlands. To that end, Colonial Chemical, Inc. fully supports the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) authorized supply chain system of sustainable palm oil producers.
Colonial Chemical, Inc. will procure goods from suppliers that are certified members of the RSPO in those instances when raw materials may contain palm products. RSPO certified production units have been found by independent auditors to operate within the strict guidelines for social and environmental responsibility and meet the criteria for sustainable palm oil production.
